Dog Licensing

Any person owning or housing a dog (in the City Of Glendale) for more than thirty days, is required to obtain a dog license* - GMC 6.08.080 (A). Proof of current rabies vaccination is required to complete the licensing process GMC 6.08.170. Dogs must be kept on a leash or confined to the owner's property at all times GMC 6.04.190 (B). The maximum quantity of dogs allowed per household is four.

The licensing fees are as follows:

Unaltered Male or Female $ 22.00 $ 55.00
Spayed or Neutered with proof $ 11.00 $ 27.50
Penalty if not paid by expiration date $ 22.00 $ 22.00

Cat licensing is voluntary

A non - commercial kennel permit is required when three to a maximum of four dogs, and/or four to a maximum of six cats, over the age of four months, are housed at one location GMC 6.08.130. A $25.00 application fee is required. Once the permit is approved, there is a $50.00 annual permit fee.
