The 1953 Chevy 3100 five window pickup is a good example of the iconic designs of General Motors trucks.  Chevrolets handsome Advance Design series of pick-up trucks with high quality, well conserved restoration features a full bench seat, deluxe wheel trim rings and wood bed rails.  Chevrolet designed the truck to be more carlike in many ways, but the cab is very much functional in purpose. 

 

When Fred purchased the truck approximately 20 years ago, it instantly became a family project. Fred knew what work they would have to put into it, but the plan was to start at the rear and move their way forward. Throughout the time of owning the truck, the family has many fond memories of driving around and attending several different car shows, especially not missing Glendale Cruise Night. During the two-year hiatus, the family took some time to sand, stain and polish the wooden frames, bed of truck and many other little cosmetic things to get the pickup ready for Cruise Night in July.
